Help topics uses links, buttons, dropdowns and image maps to make them easier to understand and use.
Links are used throughout help to make the material easier to understand and use for both beginners and expert Webvantage users. Links help keep the topic files uncluttered by providing a reference to additional information.
Hyperlinks - Hyperlinks are links that display another topic in the help system where the phrase or screen referenced is explained in more detail. Or, in some cases, it displays a different location in the current topic. Hyperlinks display in blue underlined print. Click on the hyperlink to display the new topic. After reviewing the topic, click on the Back button to return to the original topic.

Pop-Up Hyperlinks - Pop-up hyperlinks also display in blue underlined print, and also display a topic in the help system where the phrase or screen is explained in more detail. They are different than regular hyperlinks because the new topic displays on top of the topic currently displayed. Pop-up hyperlinks are used when it would take more than one mouse click to return to the original topic. To close the pop-up topic, click anywhere on it.
EXAMPLE: To

and then click on the arrow / verbiage a second time to hide the
information.
Expanding Dropdowns - Expanding dropdowns are used to display additional text. Expanding dropdowns can be used for Security and Application Setup as well as and other explanations when the term may be familiar to experienced users, but beginning users may need more information.

Buttons are used throughout help to provide lists of additional topics that are directly, or indirectly, related to the topic currently displayed.
Related Topics Buttons - Related Topics buttons are used throughout help to list additional topics that are closely related to the topic currently displayed. Click on the button, to display a list of related topics. Click on one of the topics listed to jump to that topic.

on one of the topics listed to display the topic. Click on the Back button
to return to this screen.
What do you want to do? Buttons - "What do you want to do?" buttons are similar to related topics, but always list functions directly related to the topic currently displayed. Many major functions in Webvantage contain an introductory topic screen that briefly explains the purpose of the function. From that screen, click on the "What do you want to do?" button to display a list of topics directly related to that function. For example, on the Campaign topic, Add A Campaign, Close a Campaign, and Print Campaign Reports are available for selection.

Some screens and reports are included that contain "image maps". Click on any portion of the screen/report, and a description of that section will display. The sentence "Click on any part of the screen/report for a description of that area." displays when an image map is available. To see how image maps work, click on any area of below image. A description of the tool will display on a pop-up screen. To hide the description, click in any area of the pop-up screen.
