Agency Timesheet Settings is used to set defaults for the Timesheet application, at an Agency level. Users are able to modify their own Timesheet Settings using the Settings button within the Timesheet application.

From the Maintenance option, expand the Project Management and select Agency Timesheet Settings.
Days to Display - Select the number of days, 5 or 7 (from the dropdown), that should be displayed for the week. Initially, the default number of days displayed depends on what is selected as the default display days in Advantage located in the Maintenance | General Setup | Agency | Time Sheet Options tab. Any change to the number of days to display will be saved at the Agency level.
Start Week on - Select the day (from the dropdown) to start the week on. Options available are Saturday, Sunday or Monday. This is only applicable when the Days to Display is 7. This option will affect the following in Webvantage: Timesheet, New Record (CV), Timesheet Comment View, Timesheet Summary Report and Submit for Approval. The Starting Day can be overridden by the user in the Timesheet application - Settings option (Gear Icon).
Override Users - Selecting this option will override the user settings for both the 'Days to Display' and the 'Start Week On' day selections. In Employee Timesheet, on the Settings pane, the two options will not be displayed with this is checked. When unchecked, the employees' personal timesheet settings will be displayed.
Clear all user settings - When the Override Users option is not selected, this option will reset all users back to Agency Settings and allow users to modify their own settings in the Employee Timesheet.
Changes made to the Week View section will be automatically saved.
To add time using an option that will calculate the start time of the task through the end time of the task using a Stopwatch feature. This will assist in tracking the amount of time for the current task that is being worked on (real time tracking).
Values in the All Time Entry section will override the values entered in the Stopwatch section.
Example: Stopwatch minimum time is 10 minutes and the All Time Entry's minimum time is 15 minutes. If the stopwatch calculated time less than 10 minutes, it will apply 15 minutes to the timesheet record.
Round up to next 'x' minute increment - Enter the value that will be used to round up the timesheet record to the nearest minute.
Stopwatch must run for approximately 1.8 minutes before any time is recorded.
Values in the All Time Entry section will override the values entered in the Stopwatch section.
Minimum Time (in minutes) - Enter the minimum amount of time that can be entered as a timesheet record.
Example: Minimum Time is set at 10 minutes, and the Round up to next 'x' minute increment is set to 15 minutes. When the time entered is smaller than 10 minutes, it will apply 15 minutes to the timesheet record.
Round up to next 'x' minute increment - Select the value that will be used to round up the timesheet record to.
Require comments before submitting for approval - Select this option is timesheet comments are required.
Require Time Entry by Assignment - Select this option to require an assignment to be selected when adding time. If there are no active assignments (work items) available, this field will then not be required.
When completed, click the Save Time Entry Options button to save the changes made to the Time Entry Options section.
Required hours must be fulfilled before time can be submitted for approval - This option can be set By Day or By Week and will generate a warning message to the employee, "You must enter a total of xx hours for the day or for the week before you can submit your time for approval."
If By Day is selected, timesheets can be submitted by Day or by Week but the validation would be by day and any/all days being submitted must meet the required hours.
If By Week is selected, timesheets can only be submitted by Week and the validation would be for the required hours for the week regardless of the number of hours entered for each day.
When completed, click the Save Time Entry Options button to save the changes made to the Time Entry Options section.
Click on the x on Agency Timesheet Settings to exit the maintenance application.
