The Project Viewpoint dashboard displays a listing of projects based on selection criteria and allows viewing of various types of information based on the projects.
To customize the display of the Project Viewpoint dashboard, either click on the Column Preferences icon (in first columns header) or right click on any column heading. A Columns popup will display near the column headings of the grid. Hover the mouse over to select the columns to be displayed. All selections will automatically be saved. When completed, click on the Column icon or outside the Columns popup.
There are search input boxes on the Client, Project, AE and Status columns to quickly search for a project within the filtered results.
To refresh data, click the Refresh icon.
Use the Change page navigational arrows to view all records.
The Project Viewpoint dashboard includes multiple viewpoints:
Project Viewpoint displays all jobs that meet the filter criteria. The ability to drill down into the job, print the Job, view various applications within the job and add time is available from within this dashboard.
Click on the column headings to sort results. One column can be sorted at a time. Click once to sort ascending, twice for descending, and the third click will remove the sort. To export the Project Viewpoint results to Excel, click the Excel icon.
The dashboard results are controlled by the settings in the My Dashboard Definitions in Maintenance | General | My Dashboard Definition and by Office using the Employee Office Limits security application in Advantage | Security | Employee Office or in Advantage | Maintenance | Accounting | Employee - Security & Passwords tab.
The
icons available are controlled by Security | Group / User setup. If blocked,
the icon will not display on the Project Viewpoint grid.
If a record has not been created for the selected application, the Add
New screen will be displayed.
Job Jacket - Click on the Magnifying glass icon to view the Job Jacket application. When accessed from this dashboard, the PMD (Project Management Dashboard) will be available.
Print Job - Click on the Print icon to access the Job Order Form print options.
Client - Display the Client, Division and Product.
Project - Displays the Job and Component Numbers along with the component description.
AE - Displays the Account Executive assigned to the Job.
Start Date - Displays the start date for the project schedule.
Due / Completed - Displays the due date (top date) and the completed date (bottom date) of the project schedule.
Status - Displays the Status applied to the project schedule.
Alert Assignments - Click on the Alerts icon to view existing Alerts and/or Assignments for the Job. To add a new Alert or Assignment, right click and use the Unity Menu. Hover over the Alerts icon to see the number of open Alert Assignments. Hover over the Alerts icon to display the number of Open Assignments. When Alerts is accessed from this dashboard, the PMD (Project Management Dashboard) will not be available.
Documents - Click on the Documents icon to view existing or add new documents for the job. When accessed from this dashboard, the PMD (Project Management Dashboard) will be available.
Creative Brief - Click on the Creative Brief icon to view existing or add a new Creative Brief for the job. When Creative Brief is accessed from this dashboard, the PMD (Project Management Dashboard) will be available.
Job Specifications - Click on the Job Specifications icon to view existing or add new Job Specifications for the job. When Job Specifications is accessed from this dashboard, the PMD (Project Management Dashboard) will be available.
Job Versions - Click on the Job Versions icon to view existing or add new Job Versions for the job. When Job Version is accessed from this dashboard, the PMD (Project Management Dashboard) will be available.
Estimate - Click on the Estimate icon to view existing or add a new Estimate for the job. When Estimate is accessed from this dashboard, the PMD (Project Management Dashboard) will be available.
Project Schedule - Click on the Project Schedule icon to view existing or add a new Project Schedule for the job. Hover over the Project Schedule icon to see the number of open Tasks. When Project Schedule is accessed from this dashboard, the PMD (Project Management Dashboard) will be available.
Financial Status - Click on the Financial Status 'Q' icon to view the Financial Status summary or detail information for the job. The Financial Status icon will have different coloring, based on the threshold amount selected in the filter. When Financial Status is accessed from this dashboard, the PMD (Project Management Dashboard) will be available.

Summary (Snapshot) - Click on the Snapshot icon to view a summary of the Job - Alerts, Creative Brief, Job Specification, Job Versions, Estimate, Project Schedule and QvA. Standard security applies.
Add Time - To add time to the project, click the Add Time icon. If a default function has been established for the employee in Employee Maintenance, it will default into the Function field. Otherwise, select any valid function.
Stopwatch - Select to start timing the tasks activity click on the Stop Watch icon. The Stopwatch popup will display. Once timing is stopped, it will insert the amount of time spent on the task directly into the Timesheet. Each time Webvantage is refreshed, the Stopwatch popup will display. When using the Stopwatch from Project Viewpoint, the default function established for the employee in Employee Maintenance will be used to record time. If a default function has not been established, an error message will be displayed and the Stopwatch will not begin.
To change the number of records to display, enter the number in the Rows to Display field and click the Refresh button.
Budget Viewpoint displays the total budgeted amounts compared to the total actual amounts for the client/division/products and posting periods selected on the filter, using approved client budgets only.
The Budget Viewpoint will not be available if the Filter criteria is by Campaign.
Choose Group By Category: To change the Budget display, select from the dropdown to display by All, By Type or By Sales Class. The default is to display All. If the budget is not stored by Type or Sales Class, the budget row will display as None.
Refresh Actuals - To update the actual amounts, click on the Actuals button.
To sort the results, click on the column headings to sort ascending or descending.
Budget Viewpoint Display Option: The Budget Viewpoint Filter Options on the Filter determine the display criteria.
Actual Billed: Displays Budget Billing, Budget Gross Income, Actual Billed Billing, Actual Billed Gross Income, Variance Billing and Variance Gross Income. This is the actual billed amounts for both Production and Media Types.
Actual Posted: Displays Budget Billing, Budget Gross Income, Actual Posted Billing, Actual Posted Gross Income, Variance Billing and Variance Gross Income. This is the actual amounts posted for both Production and Media Types.
Forecasted - Approved Billing & Actual Media Posted: Displays Budget Billing, Budget Gross Income, Forecasted Billing, Forecasted Gross Income, Variance Billing and Variance Gross Income based on the Billing Approval Date (Billing Approval from Webvantage only) and Actual Media billing amounts.
Forecasted - Approved Estimate By Approved Date & Actual Media Posted: Displays Budget Billing, Budget Gross Income, Forecasted Billing, Forecasted Gross Income, Variance Billing and Variance Gross Income by Approved Estimate (Estimate Approval Date) and Actual Media Posted (billed) amounts.
Forecasted - Approved Estimate By Job Due Date & Actual Media Posted: Displays Budget Billing, Budget Gross Income, Forecasted Billing, Forecasted Gross Income, Variance Billing and Variance Gross Income using by Approved Estimate (Job Due Date) and Actual Media Posted (billed) amounts.
Hours Viewpoint displays the hours posted and quoted, including variances, based on the jobs displayed on Project Viewpoint. The hours posted will display based on the selection made for the Month/Year Range in the Filter tab. Displays Hours Posted, Quoted Hours, QvA Variance, Hours Allowed and Hours Variance.
Media time is not included in the Hours Viewpoint.
Show Amounts: To display Billed, Unbilled, Non Billable and Adjusted Amounts for each, check the Show Amounts checkbox.
Choose Group By Category: To change the Hours display, select from the dropdown to display by Function, Project, Employee or None. The default is to display by Function.
To sort the results, click on the column headings to sort ascending or descending. To export the Hours Viewpoint results to Excel, click the Excel icon.
To create a new job, click on the New Job button. This will open the same New Job popup as when creating a job within Job Jacket along with the ability to copy from an existing job.
The Filter selections determine the results that display in the Project Viewpoint, Budget Viewpoint and Hours Viewpoint.
General Filter Options
Account Executive - Select an Account Executive if the Project Viewpoint results should be limited to the Account Executive(s), otherwise select ALL. Once the Account Executive(s) are selected, the Client/Division/Product/Campaign section is limited to match the Account Executive(s).
Offices - Select an Office if the Project Viewpoint results should be limited to a particular office, otherwise select ALL. Once the Office(s) are selected, the Client/Division/Product section is limited to match the Office(s). Campaign is not limited by Office selection.
Sales Class - Select a Sales Class if the Project Viewpoint results should be limited to specific Sales Class(es), otherwise select ALL.
Manager - Select a Traffic Manager if the Project Viewpoint results should be limited to specific Traffic Managers, otherwise select ALL. The Traffic Manager label is customizable in Maintenance | Project Schedule | Settings.
Client / Division / Product / Campaign - Select a Client level if the Project Viewpoint results should be limited based on Client Name, Division Name, Product Name or by Campaign, otherwise select ALL.
Budget Viewpoint is not available if limited by Campaign.
To select or unselect multiple Account Executives, Offices or Client/Division/Product/Campaigns, hold the CTRL key on the keyboard while clicking each Account Executive.
Narrow Project List to My Projects - Select this option to limit the Project Viewpoint results to only the Projects assigned to the user logged in. This is similar to the Projects (My) dashboard. This option is selected as the default setting when first accessing Project Viewpoint.
This option also includes employees included in the Alert Group associated to the Job/Project. The dashboard results are also controlled by the settings in the My Dashboard Definitions in Maintenance | General | My Dashboard Definition and by Office using the Employee Office Limits security application in Advantage | Security | Employee Office.
This option is for Project Viewpoint only. This filter option does not affect Budget or Hours Viewpoint.
Exclude Jobs with Completed Schedules - Select this option to not include jobs whose schedules are completed.
Budget Viewpoint and Hours Filter Options
Month/Year Range - Select the range using the From / To Month and Year drop down.
The following filter options are for Budget Viewpoint only.
Budget Viewpoint Forecast Option - Select the type of Budget to be displayed for the Budget Viewpoint.
Actual Billed: Displays Budget Billing, Budget Gross Income, Actual Billed Billing, Actual Billed Gross Income, Variance Billing and Variance Gross Income. This is the actual billed amounts for both Production and Media Types.

QvA Filter Options
Type - Select the Type of Quote versus Actual to display - All or Time Only.
Threshold - Enter a threshold percentage to use to determine the level of variance between the Quoted and Actual amounts.
After the filter criteria has been selected, click the Save button.
The dashboard results are limited by Office using the Employee Office Limits security application in Advantage | Security | Employee Office or in Advantage | Maintenance | Accounting | Employee - Security & Passwords tab.
