The Media Calendar provides a quick view of all Advantage Media Orders. The orders are organized into various Calendar views (Month, Week, Day and Timeline). There are two types of display for the Media Calendar on the Filter tab:
The Media Traffic Calendar displays all the media orders for the selected month based on the material or closed dates.
The Media Schedule Calendar displays all the media orders for the selected month based on the run (insert) dates.
The Media Calendar offers the option to drill down to view individual Order Details and the ability to mark it 'Complete' (temp date field).
Select the Media button on the Main Menu.
Select Media Calendar from the menu to view the Media Calendar screen.
The Calendar that displays and the information on that calendar can be modified using the options on the Filter tab. These options will determine which orders should display on the calendar, as well as what detail should be displayed on the calendar.
To update the Media Calendar view, click on the Refresh button. This will update any changes that may have been made to an Order since accessing the Media Calendar.
Modify the following fields as necessary. Filter selection is saved by user.
Media Traffic Calendar - This calendar displays all the media orders for the selected month based on the material or close dates. This is the default selection.
Media Schedule - This calendar displays all the media orders for the selected month based on the run (insert) dates.
Media Types to Include - Select the Media types that should display on the Calendar. Options available:
Include Magazines
Include Newspapers
Include Internet
Include Out of Home
Include Television
Include Radio
All Media Types are defaulted as selected.
Accepted Orders Only - Check this box if only those orders that have been accepted should display.
Accepted Orders Only - does not apply to broadcast orders (Radio and TV).
Include Cancelled Orders/Lines - Check this box if cancelled lines and orders should display on the calendar. This is a default selection.
Client - To narrow down which orders display on the Media Calendar, select the Client from the drop down menu for which the orders belong.
Division - To narrow down which orders display on the Media Calendar, select the Division from the drop down menu for which the orders belong.
Product - To narrow down which orders display on the Media Calendar, select the Product from the drop down menu for which the orders belong.
Media Type - From the drop down menu, select the Media Types (Sales Class) which should be included on the Media Calendar. The default is All Media Types.
Campaign - From the drop down menu, select the Campaign to be included on the Media Calendar. Or, accept the default All Campaigns. Note that the campaigns that can be selected will be based upon the Client, Division, and/or Product entered above. If only a Client was entered, only those campaigns defined at the Client level will display. If only a client and Division were entered, only those campaigns defined at the Client level and Client/Division level will display. If a Client, Division, and Product were entered, Campaigns defined at the Client, Client/Division, and Client/Division/Product level will be available.
Client PO - Enter the Client PO that should be included on the Media Calendar.
Vendor - From the drop down menu, select the Vendor that should be included on the Media Calendar. The default is All Vendors.
Buyer - From the drop down menu, select the Buyer that should be included on the Media Calendar. The default is All Buyers.
The only buyers available for selection are those that have been entered on an order.
Enter the select fields that should display on the Media Calendar for each order (if applicable). At least one selection must be made and up to five selections can be made.
Default selections are: Client, Type, Insertion Order / Line Number and Vendor Code.

This setting will determine how the associated data will display. Only one option may be selected.
Material Due Date - Select this option if the orders should display by the Material Due Date. This option is defaulted as selected.
If Media Traffic Calendar is selected in the Calendar Options, this option will default.
Extended Material Due Date - Select this option if the orders should display by the Extended Material Due Date.
Close Date - Select this option if the orders should display by the Close Date.
Extended Close Date - Select this option if the orders should display by the Extended Close Date.
Run Dates (Flight Dates)/Insertion Dates - Select this option if the orders should display by the Run Dates/Insertion Dates. This option is useful for Broadcast, Out of Home, and possibly Newspaper orders.
Display on Start Date Only - This option is only used in conjunction with the Run Date (Flight Dates)/Insertion Date. If this option is selected, the order will display only on the run start date. If selected without the Run Date (Flight Dates)/Insertion Date selected, the Start Date will not display on the Calendar. The default is selected (checked).
After completing the necessary field information, click the Save button to update the calendar view. To restore the system default selections, click the Restore Defaults button.
The Media Calendar defaults to the Month view. To view Media Orders, select the Day, Week, Month or Timeline view. To view additional Order information, double click on the order or right click on the order and click View Details.
Each Media Type is differentiated by color to help identify which Media Type the Order belongs to:
When an Order is active (not completed or cancelled), the text displays with a black font. When an Order is Marked Completed, the text will display with a strikethrough. When an Order has been cancelled, the text will display with a red font (Filter Option Include Cancelled Orders/Lines must be selected).
To view a different month or year, click one of the following options in the toolbar :

To view Media Orders, select the Day, Week, Month or Timeline view. The details displayed in the Order Detail will vary depending on the media type. To view detailed Order information, either double click on the order or right click on the order and select View Details. The Order Detail will display in a separate window.
A Documents icon will indicate that documents (such as copies of the order) have been uploaded for the media order. To view/download documents, click the Document icon (displays if selected in Display Options), or right click on the order and select Order Documents.
Timeline offers a grid-like view for all media orders based on the view selected (Day, Week or Month).

*A Documents icon will display in the Order Details window if documents (such as copies of the order) have been uploaded for the media order. To view/download documents, click the Document icon.
If the order is completed, click the Mark Completed button. A message window is displayed. Click the OK button to update the complete date or click Cancel to return to the Order detail window without updating the Mark Complete date. The Mark Complete Date field is updated with the current system date. This date is also displayed in the Media Manager Review grid in the Mat Complete Date in Advantage and can be added or modified in Media Manager.
If the order is no longer completed, click the Mark Not Completed button.
Click the Close button to exit the Order details window.
The Calendar can be printed one of two ways.
To print the calendar from the window, right mouse click anywhere within the window and select the Print option or within the browser, select File | Print.
When the Windows Print selection screen displays, select the printer, the number of copies to print and modify the other options as needed. Consider changing the orientation to landscape prior to printing the calendar. Click the Print button to print.
