Advantage includes several ways to connect the Webvantage Calendar appointments with Windows Microsoft Outlook or Google Calendar. These options also allow for appointments that originate in Outlook or Google Calendar to sync with the Webvantage Calendar (two-way integration).
The option to synchronize an Employee's calendar (Outlook / Google) with Webvantage calendar is set in Advantage | Maintenance | Accounting | Employee - Alerts & Settings tab.
Google Calendar synchronization utilizes the Time Zone setting in Webvantage | Maintenance | General | Time Zone.

Multi Event ICS - Exports items from the main Webvantage Calendar Month View. Use the Toolbar options to include or exclude Appointments, Holidays or Tasks. Multiple events are stored in the .ics file.
Single Event ICS - Export Appointments as they are created or updated. A single event is stored in the .ics file.
The Outlook Toolbar Add-On feature is included so that events can be loaded directly onto the current Outlook calendar without using the Outlook 'Import' utility. Without this option, Outlook only fully supports Multi Events .ics files through their import utility. This add-on tool also allows users to pre-set certain options that control how events appear on the Outlook calendar and task list.
Once installed, the following options are available from without Outlook:
Tools/Options
Set the default filename and location.
Determine if Advantage Tasks should be created as Outlook Tasks.
Determine if Advantage Tasks should be included in the Outlook Calendar.
Determine if the Reminder should be set on events and for what amount of time.
Toolbar button to Create Calendar Events
Creates new events.
Updates existing events. Deletes and re-adds with new data.
Other Calendars supporting the standard .ics format may also be used.

Because individuals control their own calendars through the 'ics' file integration, Exchange is not used or needed in order to keep calendars up-to-date. Individuals update calendars with selected events on their workstations (PC and MAC). Shared calendars are available to all users.
